Dot Origin’s unique VTAP NFC pass readers are available to reseller and OEM partners via Dot Origin Distribution
In the same way that Apple Pay and Google Pay can be used to replace physical bank cards, mobile wallets also store digital loyalty cards, tickets, membership, ID and access passes to deliver the same step-change improvement in user-experience for non-payment applications.
NFC Wallet passes provide a frictionless ‘just tap’ experience whilst being secure against copying (unlike QR-codes).
VTAP readers automatically select and read an NFC pass from Apple Wallet or Google Wallet with just a simple tap from a phone or watch – no app required.
Dot Origin is licensed by Apple and Google to operate the proprietary protocols to achieve this, and all VTAP readers are certified accordingly. They are designed for the full range of NFC pass applications along with the ability to read traditional RFID and NFC cards and tags as well as communicate with other apps via NFC when required.
Connectivity options include USB, Serial, Wiegand, OSDP, Wi-Fi and PoE and the VTAP range is available as boxed products and in ‘OEM’ reader board and module format for integration into other equipment.
