Omnikey 4040 PCMCIA
The 4040 PCMCIA reader from Omnikey (previously the CardMan CM4040) provides the means to include a smartcard reader inside most laptops and many PDAs. The reader has been developed to meet all major standards such as PC/SC, ISO 7816 and EMV Level 1.

This robust but lightweight device comes complete with the required VU cable connector, and is compatible with all makes of digital tachograph used within Europe. Included in the package is a 64Mb SD memory card, enough to hold many years' worth of VU data, and/or data from many vehicles.
The downloaded data can be transferred to a PC very easily using the supplied USB transfer cable, especially when used in conjuction with our digitach downloader software solutions, which will automatically rename and store the files in an appropriate location.
