Downloader Solo – software only
Downloader Solo is designed to assist transport operators in meeting the requirements of digital tachograph legislation – namely to periodically download, view and store the digital tachograph data for their fleet. Data files can also be archived or forwarded as required. The application includes simple view and print functions, and is designed to be extremely easy to use, requiring minimal computer knowledge.
Downloader Solo runs on a standard Windows PC and is for people that already possess a compatible smartcard reader, or wish to use it with another suitable reader, like the CM4040 PCMCIA for laptops or ACR38F USB floppy-bay reader. (please see related products link)
Company personnel needing to download data simply insert their smartcard into the reader and wait for the data to be read. Data is stored automatically in tamper-proof files that conform to the European standards as required by VOSA. These data files can be saved on the PC itself or on a network.
Once downloaded, weekly summaries of the current data can be displayed on screen and printed. Individual daily summaries showing the activity modes can also be displayed and printed if required. Vehicle unit (VU) data can also be downloaded from appropriate download devices.
Downloader Solo is licensed on a per-PC basis, and requires simple online or email registration before data can be stored. Quick and easy to install, you can now ensure compliance with the minimum legal requirements at a low cost and with no on-going charges.

The Digidown from Lisle Design is a convenient, portable unit for downloading data directly from a digital tachograph vehicle unit (VU).
This robust but lightweight device comes complete with the required VU cable connector, and is compatible with all makes of digital tachograph used within Europe. Included in the package is a 64Mb SD memory card, enough to hold many years' worth of VU data, and/or data from many vehicles.
