CM3111 Serial NHS
The CM3111 serial desktop reader from OMNIKEY is a revolutionary addition to their range, offering the very latest technology in a new-style housing. This reader comes with 9-pin serial and PS/2 power connectors and is fully PC/SC and EMV Level 1 compliant, supporting all ISO 7816 microprocessor-based smartcards as well as a variety of popular memory cards.
The reader comes complete with WHQL approved Windows drivers, as well as support for other operating systems such as Linux, and is ideal for all smartcard applications. It is the preferred and approved model for NHS desktop applications where a spare serial port is available, but no USB port.
The CM3111 is one of OMNIKEY’s leading readers and boasts both great performance and quality. This model comes complete with a lightweight foot for vertical desktop use and an integrated sticky pad for alternative mounting. CM4040 PCMCIA NHS
The CM4040 PCMCIA reader from OMNIKEY provides the means to include a smartcard reader inside most laptops and many PDAs. The reader has been developed to meet all major standards such as PC/SC, ISO 7816 and EMV Level 1.

The reader has a helpful card guide, which is all that can be seen when it has been inserted into a PDA or laptop.
