The Gemalto .NET card (IM v2+) provides a highly secure method of storing digital signatures, providing two factor authentication and support for other PKI based applications within the Windows environment. With its ability to also run on-card applications and services within the .NET framework, it provides a versatile development platform for additional security applications. Support for this smart card is integrated within Windows without the requirement for 3rd party applications, which simplifies implementation while reducing cost of ownership.
