It is being used in a range of programmes and applications within the NHS and is the preferred choice for developers creating new applications for use within the organisation. The card was initially designed for use with GemSAFE, Gemalto’s digital signature solution and was based on the GemXpresso R3.2 E32PK java Smart-Card.
