The Smartboard FingerTIP from Cherry is a high quality UK-layout USB keyboard with integrated biometric fingerprint and smartcard readers. This model (G83-14401) includes a fingerprint sensor from UPEK with capacitive-sensing technology supporting password-free log-on and identification applications. The TCS1CD sensor from UPEK with 508 dpi is the biggest capacitive sensor on the market and fits high security standards in public administration and governments.
The integrated smartcard reader, which is fully PC/SC and EMV level 1 compliant, provides many additional security features when using applications such as ID verification and secure transactions.
